Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta
This means, Mr. Kenyatta has avoided a run-off ballot. According to Kenyan laws, the winner must attain 50% + 1 Point and win at least 25% in more than half of the 47 Counties.
However, this will be a challenging moment to Kenyans as the President Elect is facing trial at the International Criminal Court (ICC). He and his running mate, Mr. Ruto are accused of fuelling post election violence which happened after Kenya's 2007 Elections where more than 1000 people were killed and hundred of thousand forced to flee their homes.
We wish the president elect all the best in his future office.
